Almost finished with the Bruce Willis bust. Here is the latest.

Other works are in progress as well. A couple of stills have been added to the 3D gallery of this site.
After May 1st these posts may take a break until I can figure out how to convert the blog from Blogger to Word Press because Google has decided to shut down the method I use to update it. Hopefully that won't be too difficult.
I've added a still to the 3D Gallery, it's a frame from a medical animation I just did for fun in a little over a day. The animation itself will be added to the demo reel soon.
In other news I've written up a description of 3D-Coat for Glen Southern's website. Included are some images by myself and Leigh Bamforth. You can find it here (near the bottom)

Here's the latest on my Bruce Willis sculpture. I've painted in the beard and hair stubble and most of the specularity. As usual YouTube's compression made his skin look a little darker than it is.

I received permission from Epic Studios to show some stuff I did for them back in September. This is a bottle I modeled and textured.

Here's a YouTube video of some medicine that goes in the bottle. Here we were showing the powdered medicine being dissolved into water. I modeled and animated the chunks that are spinning horizontally and floating up and down.

After retopology I've moved on to texturing and finer details. Here you can see a basic base for the skin texture and a few finer wrinkles
Here's the latest WIP of my Bruce Willis sculpture on YouTube. Next I will retopologize him and start on the finer details and textures. I've decided to do the textures with Ptex instead of UV mapping. It's my first real try with Ptex, so I hope it will work out.
